Booking & trials

Bridal dates are usually reserved six to twelve months ahead, and peak season weekends go first. Party and event bookings need two to four weeks. If your date is sooner than that, message me anyway — cancellations do happen.

Yes — a personalised trial is part of the bridal process. We test the base, the eye, the lashes and the hair, photograph it under flash, then adjust anything that is not right. Nothing is left to guesswork on the wedding day.

Bring your dupatta or a similar colour, and any jewellery you plan to wear.

Send an enquiry through the booking form, WhatsApp or email. I confirm availability within 48 hours, we have a consultation call, and a 50% retainer locks the date in.

A date is only held once the retainer has cleared — verbal holds are not possible in peak season.

Absolutely, and it is the most common request. Nikah, mehndi, baraat, walima and reception can all be booked together, with a distinct look for each. Multi-function bookings are scheduled as a block so nothing clashes.

02

Pricing & payment

A 50% non-refundable retainer secures your booking. The remaining balance is due on or before the event date.

e-Transfer, Cash and Zelle. Payment details are sent once your date is confirmed.

Yes — every rate is published on the pricing page and appears on your contract exactly as listed. The only variable is travel beyond a 20 km radius, which is quoted before you commit.

Where time allows, yes — lashes, dupatta draping, a touch-up kit or an extra guest can usually be added. Anything that changes the schedule significantly needs notice, so tell me in advance if you can.

03

On the day

Budget two and a half to three hours for a full bridal look including hair and draping. Each additional guest is roughly 45 minutes for makeup, or 75 minutes with hair. I build the timeline backwards from your ready-by time and share it with you.

That is the whole point of the prep. Skin is cleansed, treated and primed for its actual type, the base is layered and set properly, and everything is checked under flash before you leave the chair. Brides regularly report their makeup lasting past 2 am with no touch-ups.

Arrive with clean, moisturised skin and dry hair unless we agreed otherwise. Do any threading, waxing or facials at least 48 hours before — never the day of. Wear a button-down or something that does not pull over your head.

Tell me before your appointment and I will adjust the kit and patch test where needed. Please disclose everything in advance — I cannot be held liable for a reaction to a condition that was not shared with me.

04

Travel & locations

Yes. Everything is on location — your home, hotel suite or venue getting-ready room, across New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Not within a 20 km radius of my New Jersey base. Beyond that a travel fee may apply, and it is always quoted in writing before you book.

Worldwide, with flights and accommodation quoted transparently up front. Destination bookings need the longest lead time, so start the conversation early.

A table or counter near a window if possible, a power outlet, and a chair without arms. That is genuinely all — I bring lighting, a chair riser and everything else.

05

Henna, hair & add-ons

Always. I use natural, chemical-free henna paste — never black henna, which can cause serious reactions. Aftercare instructions come with every session to get the deepest stain.

Yes — clip-ins, tapes, tikkas, pins and fresh flowers are all fitted as part of the styling. Bring them to your trial so we can plan the structure around them.

A full set is $200 and should be applied a few days before the event, not on the morning. Strip lashes are included with every makeup service as standard.

06

Classes & training

None at all. Classes run for complete beginners, for working artists sharpening a specific skill, and for people who simply want to do their own makeup well.

Over Zoom, one to one. Your link is emailed a few hours before the session. You work on your own face live while I guide you, and written notes follow afterwards. Apply here.

Bring whatever you own, however small. Kit building is part of the professional course, and I will give you an honest shopping list rather than a wish list.

07

Service agreement

These terms form part of every booking contract

Deposit & payment

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking date. The remaining balance is due on or before the event date. Accepted payment methods are e-Transfer, Cash and Zelle.

Cancellations

  • Cancelling 30 or more days before the event: the deposit is forfeited.
  • Cancelling within 14 days of the event: 75% of the total is due.
  • Cancelling within 48 hours, or a no-show: 100% of the total is due.

Rescheduling

One reschedule is permitted with 14 or more days’ notice, subject to availability. Changes requested within 14 days of the event carry a $50 rescheduling fee.

Travel

Travel fees may apply beyond a 20 km radius of the artist’s base and are quoted in advance. For destination bookings, flights and accommodation are agreed in writing before the retainer is taken.

Scheduling & readiness

The client is responsible for ensuring the party is ready on schedule. Delays caused by the client’s party may shorten the service or incur additional charges, and the artist cannot be held responsible for looks that must be rushed as a result.

Allergies & skin conditions

Clients must disclose allergies, sensitivities and skin conditions prior to the appointment. The artist is not liable for reactions arising from undisclosed conditions.

Photography rights

The artist reserves the right to photograph completed work for portfolio and promotional use. Clients who prefer their images not to be used may request privacy in writing before the appointment, and that request will be honoured without question.

Hygiene

All tools are sanitised between clients and disposable applicators are used wherever appropriate. Clients with active eye or skin infections should reschedule.
